JFS values and promotes cultural sensitivity.

Because of this value, JFS offers cultural training, education and programming for organizations that serve Jewish older adults.

JFS provides staff training for care facilities and home care agencies in the area of cultural sensitivity – with special focus on Jewish culture. This education enables caregivers to provide culturally conscientious care to their clients, resulting in higher levels of satisfaction and understanding.

ElderLink provides programming to care facilities with Jewish residents as well as to home care agencies that serve Jewish clients throughout the year. All are welcome to ElderLink events, and encouraging wide participation leads to greater collaboration and understanding.

When a facility for older adults or home care agency chooses to join the JFS ElderLink Network, they are choosing to ensure high-quality services for clients.

If your loved one is not yet living in a residential facility, contact a social worker at JFS. We provide referrals to our ElderLink Network facilities with the confidence that they can create a welcome home for a Jewish elder.

Which facilities are members of ElderLink?
