“Broadway on a Mission: A Virtual Benefit for JFS COVID Relief”

Did you know that JFS of Washtenaw County has been feeding, caring, transporting, counseling, resettling, educating, training and supporting our neighbors for 27 years? Last year our work directly supported more than 10,000 community members–likely your customers, employees, clients, and their families.  In 2020, due to COVID-19, the need has only grown and shows no sign of slowing down.

Between March 16 – September 22, JFS has delivered groceries to 180 households per week; provided an average of 1,500-2,000 meals per week to 150-200 people, for a total of 36,864; supported our social isolated community members with 2,205 phone reassurance calls for a total of 16,838 minutes; and recruited 400 new food pantry volunteers, who donated 4,926 hours of their time to help our community members in need.

We need your help!

On Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 7pm, JFS will host Broadway on a Mission:  a Virtual Fundraiser for JFS COVID Relief. This one night only concert will feature Broadway talent, many of who graduated from the U-M Musical Theatre program, sharing their voices to support the important work we do for the community. Our annual fundraising event, typically held in the spring, had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.  In partnership with Broadway producer Thomas Laub, we pivoted and have created a virtual night to remember. 

We invite you to become a Broadway on a Mission sponsor, which gives your organization prominent exposure to JFS funders, donors, clients, community members, and friends from coast to coast. Partnering with JFS offers tremendous opportunities to market your business, products or services to a wide range of families, professionals, and consumers while at the same time supporting one of our county’s most critical social service agencies.
