At JFS, we provide individualized services and guidance to all job seekers, including refugees and immigrants who would otherwise face barriers to long-term, sustainable employment. As a time-tested partner to local businesses, we also bolster the greater Ann Arbor community talent base by helping to place these engaged, committed workers. Employers who hire refugees and immigrants who are authorized to work are making a positive investment in their community and in Michigan.
Whether you’re new to this country, a seasoned professional now facing unemployment, or simply looking for professional services to help you find your dream job, JFS can provide the support you need. As you pursue new employment, JFS will assist you in developing a plan of action, offer resource advocacy, connect you with appropriate networking and job referrals and provide ongoing support.
JFS is an Access Point in the county’s Share Network system, which facilitates community members’ access to employment information and resources. We accept referrals from other agencies as well as the 211 service. JFS is a Michigan Works! site that serves non-native English speakers who are referred to the JET Program.
