Part of JFS' mission is to create solutions.
To that end, we offer counseling services in a safe, confidential and supportive environment. Skilled and compassionate licensed social workers offer support, guidance and solutions for a wide range of issues that may cause you imbalance, stress or suffering – all in a personalized style.
JFS’ Thrive Counseling Services are accredited by CARF International and are covered by many insurance companies and Employee Assistance Plan programs. Please click here to view that list.
Please note that we do not accept Straight Medicaid at this time.

Payment Options: If you are over 65, we are able to bill Medicare and any supplemental coverage. We believe that everyone should have access to high quality health care, regardless of their ability to pay. We offer financial assistance to patients who meet federal poverty criteria as well as additional guidelines. We also offer no-fee payment plans for those who need to pay their bills in installments.
Capacity: Interest in our high quality sliding scale fee therapy services is high. Please be aware that when you contact our Intake Specialist you may be advised that we are at capacity. If JFS is not able to assist you, you may be referred to other trusted providers in our community.
Note: We do not have a psychiatrist on staff. Therefore, we are unable to provide therapy for those individuals who need intensive therapy (more than weekly) and/or medication management. Community Support and Treatment Services (CSTS) is Washtenaw County's Community Mental Health agency and they are available to serve those with severe and persistent mental illness. You can reach CSTS by calling (734) 222-3400.
If you are facing a mental health emergency, please call 911.
