JFS Specialty Food Pantry

What: The Food Pantry Program is available to individuals and families in need throughout Washtenaw County. In addition to providing non-perishable food items to households in need, the JFS Food Pantry also offers fresh produce and an array of specialty food items to those with medical or religious dietary restrictions, including but not limited to; gluten-free, diabetic friendly, vegan, liquid nutrition, kosher and halal. Contact us to see if we can accommodate your diet.

How/Where/When: Pantry groceries can be picked up at our contact-less curbside pickup at 2245 S. State St, in the rear parking lot on Thursdays between 11am-4pm.  

WISE Meals At Home

What: JFS is a Meals on Wheels provider in Washtenaw County, delivering meals to medically homebound county residents age 60+. There is a suggested donation of $3 per meal but no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.  All donations help!

Congregant Meals/WISE at the J

What: JFS offers an in person community lunch for county residents age 60+. Meals are accompanied by opportunities for social enrichment and programming.

How: Wise at the J is back after a hiatus due to COVID-19!  Meals are served on Mondays at 12:30pm and Wednesdays and Fridays at 12 pm at the JCC Ann Arbor.  You can join us by sending your RSVP 48 hours in advance to Cole Nelson, Community Engagement and Events Coordinator at cnelson@jfsannarbor.org

Volunteers

JFS relies on volunteers to assist with our specialty food pantry and prepared meal programs. Volunteer roles include: preparing, organizing, unpacking or delivery. To become a volunteer or to learn more contact volunteer@jfsannarbor.org
