We are writing to update you about our operations during this unprecedented public health crisis. As a human services agency our community has come to rely on, we are working diligently to redesign our operations and services so we can provide crucial care to our neighbors in need with as little disruption as possible during these trying times.
The situation is changing rapidly and so too are our plans. In the interest of reducing the spread of illness, we are transitioning to a system of offering services remotely as much as possible. Our on-site staffing will be extremely limited and we will not meet with clients on site outside of extraordinary circumstances which will be handled with extraordinary care and precautions.
The details of new protocols and practices will be specific to our distinct services (e.g., food pantry, older adult services, transportation) with more information to follow in the next few days. We provide many different services and there will not be a one-size-fits-all approach. There will be adjustments to how we do our work, but we commit to you that the work will continue.
The current COVID-19 crisis is disrupting everyone’s lives, functions and rhythms. JFS is no different. But, we will adjust and we will do our best to care for our community at this time of exceptional need.
Please call us at 734.769.0209 or email us at info@jfsannarbor.org, if you need support or assistance.
Together we will weather this storm. Please be socially responsible and protect the most vulnerable members of our community by staying home and limiting your in-person interactions.
